Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, also known as SKUAST-K, is a state university established in 1982. Located in Shalimar, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, the SKUAST-K campus spans over 227 hectares (560 acres). The university is affiliated with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). SKUAST-K admissions are entrance-based for all programs. Students seeking admission at SKUAST-K must meet the eligibility criteria and apply online through the official website. The university conducts its own University Entrance Test (UET) for most UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs, while accepting national exams like JEE Main, NEET UG, CAT/CMAT/MAT, and ICAR AIEEA/CUET for specific courses. SKUAST Kashmir UG Eligibility Criteria 2025

A candidate seeking SKUAST UG admission shall be a permanent resident of J&K state or of J&K state origin. The minimum age limit for applying candidates is 17 years at the time of application submission. He/She should have qualified the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination from a recognised university to be qualified under SKUAST Kashmir UG admission criteria. The higher secondary examination shall be cleared with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics with at least 50% marks. 

SKUAST Kashmir PG Eligibility Criteria 2025

A candidate seeking SKUAST PG admission shall have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field. Candidates shall know that the university approves the admission of those candidates who have graduated from institutions recognised by VCI/ICAR or UGC. Candidates who have completed their graduation from the 10+2+3 pattern are required to undergo a 1-year deficiency course prior to registering for regular courses as per the SKUAST Kashmir PG admission criteria. 

SKUAST Kashmir PhD Eligibility Criteria 2025

A candidate seeking admission for any SKUAST Kashmir PhD courses must have passed a postgraduate or equivalent exam from a recognised statutory board or university in the field of study they are applying for and have an overall GPA of at least 40% for candidates in the open category and 50% for those in the reserved category. Candidates shall know that the SKUAST Kashmir admission criteria for PhD programme are required for admission and no candidate shall be allowed to disobey the rules mentioned under the university admission guidelines.

Step 1- Candidates seeking admission to Sher-E-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir have to understand eligibility
